Showing my age, too. Early sixties, early teens, peddling our bikes the 8 miles on Saturday morning to the bowling alley. We were in the kids bowling league. One buck, you get the shoe rentals, 3 games, and if you scored 3 strikes in a row, you'd get a free game. We bowled most of Saturday morning and afternoon for $1. Denise and Stay (may have been the Franky Valli and the 4 Seasons version) were always on the juke box. Another one hit wonder that someone was always playing was Rhythm Of the Rain . Two or three years later(which seemed like an eternity back then)we moved up one rung on the social ladder from bowling to roller skating. It was a different world and a different time.
