I know I'm showing my age, but any thread on great one-hit wonders has to include "Stay" by Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs!

Showing my age, too. Early sixties, early teens, peddling our bikes the 8 miles on Saturday morning to the bowling alley. We were in the kids bowling league. One buck, you get the shoe rentals, 3 games, and if you scored 3 strikes in a row, you'd get a free game. We bowled most of Saturday morning and afternoon for $1. Denise and Stay (may have been the Franky Valli and the 4 Seasons version) were always on the juke box. Another one hit wonder that someone was always playing was Rhythm Of the Rain . Two or three years later(which seemed like an eternity back then)we moved up one rung on the social ladder from bowling to roller skating. It was a different world and a different time.

I'm still a big Gordon Lightfoot fan. I'm also a big fan of Tom Rush- no one hit wonder- and Urge for Going is one of my favorites.

Another big Tom Rush fan here!!! My favorite TR song is "No Regrets." It's got to be one of the best "break up" songs ever written.
