Good question.

Because there are still, even though they may be minute, differences in the two parties.

I know I am going to end up dead some day but I still drive as safe as I can, even if I have to drive a motorcycle instead of a protective tank.
I do what I can with what I have.

It doesn't make any difference. We'll replace one set of clowns with another. Too bad. So Sad.
There are some small differences...
1.Chief Justice John Roberts
2.Clarence Thomas
3.Antonin Scalia
Some clowns are funnier than others.
Some clowns are rather frightening.
1.Sarah Palin
2.Sharon Angle
3.Rand Paul
Doesn't make any difference?
Pardon me while I embrace my partisanship.

Of course, you're right, but it's disheartening to find oneself continually disappointed.

Palin/Tea Party is not as popular as the media bonanza would like to have you believe.

Slow ticket sales have forced event organizers to move the function from the 2,936-seat Moran Theatre to the significantly smaller 609-seat Terry Theatre.

I did not make an argument ... it was a statement.

One may undoubtedly create a valid argument and prove almost anything based on a "certain set" of premises. This is in fact the pre-eminent manner that many people use to "prove" their position. They use premises which should be the conclusions of an argument.

I think my statement begs for a counter example. Got any?

My personal position is I will vote for anyone who has a reasonable position i.e. has a reasonable vision for America, has reasonable solutions to our problems. Idiots need not seek my vote.

And probably will in the November elections.
For the moment they have my blessings. When they have their nation back and fail miserably to solve any of the problems, from immigration to the economy, from the faltering job market to the national budget and deficit, they will be greeted by my curses and once again in fairly short order will completely lose whatever respect the American people had for Teabagging Republican Morans.
The problem lies in Revolution.

As Pierre Vergniaud said, before he was guillotined:

"Citoyens, il est à craindre que la révolution, comme Saturne, ne dévore successivement tous ses enfants et n’engendre enfin le despotisme avec les calamités que l’accompagnent."
---There is reason to fear that the Revolution, like Saturn, might devour in turn each one of her children, and, at last, give birth to despotism, with the calamities which accompany it.

The origin of America's troubles is the Terrorist Insurrection which is called the American Revolution. If not for that, we would be sitting in British North America, sipping tea, under a boring and effective parliamentary system, like Canada. We would have conservative, regulated banks and financial institutions, proper medical insurance, and a reasonably effective social safety-net.

The American Revolution ate its children much more slowly than the French or Bolshevik Revolutions, but the end result is much the same.

The Tea Partiers prove that the dog returns to its vomit, though with leaders who entirely lack the culture and intelligence of the Insurrectionists of 1776.
