Hmmm. When it comes right down to it the revolution was fomented by rich white guys that didn't want to pay taxes and who were fighting against big government. The little guys who actually had to fight the revolution for them would have been just as happy and just as well off if the war never happened.
Canada remained a part of the British Commonwealth and managed to fare quite nicely.

You always hafta ask the hard questions, doncha, pardner?
In the last Presidential election, one candidate seemed more reasonable than the other. At least to me and a sufficient majority of voters to get him into the Whitehouse rather than the other guy. So far I'm not really disappointed or dissatisfied with this president. I'm a little bit grouchy about congress though.
