But, it is good to keep in mind that neither Mod Libs nor Mod Cons give a chit about rights or even the Constitution unless it furthers their political agenda.;-) Such broad strokes, but I guess you define who is in each category so it is pointless to ask for a link in support of that outlandish claim.

Until the ultra-ultra whitewing media hyped this story, the people of New York favored the mosque, and generally still do. How the "ground zero mosque" fear mongering began Beck, Geller push falsehood that Ground Zero "mosque" will open on September 11 No lie is too outrageous for some people. Pamela Geller, 'Queen Of Muslim Bashers,' At Center Of N.Y. 'Mosque' Debate I don't want to send anyone to her incredibly Islamohatred site, so no links for this insane b****.

A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.
Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich

Interesting... Fox News Channel devoted just under 10 minutes to the story [of the troop withdrawal from Iraq], much of it during Shepard Smith's 7 p.m. newscast. The network spent 45 minutes discussing the potential construction of an Islamic cultural center near ground zero... Read more here. Clearly, it's an open secret as to where Fox News propaganda lies...

One has to wonder if the Salon story is just another left-wing conspiracy theory based on the notion that the "unwashed masses" should be seen, used, but not heard? Anyway, a problem with Geller is that it is difficult to stay focussed on what she is saying, so I would think that those who are upset with her would be glad of the distractive format she chooses to use.;-) Yours, Issodhos

I'm not sure why but the term "unwashed masses" seems to always refer to financially challenged Republicans. Do the "unwashed masses" not include a certain number of liberal minded poor folks? Folks who cannot afford health insurance and would welcome federal assistance? Folks who really don't give a rodent's patootie whether you build a Mosque somewhere in New York City or not? Even, heaven forbid, Christian, relatively un-intelligent, not particularly clean, undereducated and underemployed people of no particular political persuasion who, despite their circumstances, find the antics of the Rabid Right Wing somewhat offensive and off-putting enough to vote against them?

There is a struggle currently going-on within the conservative movement regarding the anti-Muslim rhetoric. ...just as their is a struggle going-on within the librul movement for the same reason. SEE: Harry Reid and Howard Dean v Barack ObamaInterestingly enough, both sides of this anti-Mosque debate use the cloak of "Ground Zero as sanctuary" for their argumentative device.

Greger, you are certainly free to divide the "unwashed masses" into whatever categories work for you. As far as I know, it refers to those who are not a part of the ruling classes or elites, if you will. That is to say, you and me.:-) Yours, Issodhos

Well our old friend Charles Krauthammer isn't splashing around in a bikini while blogging to the faithful. He has the best argument on the planet as to why we should give up trying to win hearts and minds in the Muslim world. I guess he's busy writing to General Petraeus right now to tell him why it's pointless to commit the blood of our young men and women over there. Oh...he's not?
