But Numan, if we had gone that route don't you think the American people would have been collectively punished by the British Monarchy as they were already? After all that IS what sparked the revolution in the first place.

My personal position is I will vote for anyone who has a reasonable position i.e. has a reasonable vision for America, has reasonable solutions to our problems. Idiots need not seek my vote. What do you consider a "reasonable vision for America" to be, rporter314? Yours, Issodhos

Hmmm. When it comes right down to it the revolution was fomented by rich white guys that didn't want to pay taxes and who were fighting against big government. The little guys who actually had to fight the revolution for them would have been just as happy and just as well off if the war never happened. Canada remained a part of the British Commonwealth and managed to fare quite nicely.

What do you consider a "reasonable vision for America" to be You always hafta ask the hard questions, doncha, pardner? In the last Presidential election, one candidate seemed more reasonable than the other. At least to me and a sufficient majority of voters to get him into the Whitehouse rather than the other guy. So far I'm not really disappointed or dissatisfied with this president. I'm a little bit grouchy about congress though.
