' I do note that the very same Conservative half of the nation who are so prone to using scare tactics are the ones claiming that the Scientific community is using those same tactics.... It is frequently the case that people manage to project onto others their own worst characteristics. Take heed, ye who cling to certain obsolete political views which I will forbear to name, but which we all wot well.

Once upon a time America could explore and investigate without having to create a PR campaign first. Back in those days an issue would be investigated, debated and decided upon based on national importance and the politics of the day. If the issue were important enough to merrit Presidential inclusion the POTUS would address the nation and state his case. Global warming doesnt exist because Obama hasnt had a fireside chat with the nation on it? do you actually require your political leader to do this in order for you to understand something? how stalinist can you get, that you need big daddy govt to spell it out for you? in what world do you live in where these things (in bold) have not happened? you are completly wrong and so demonstrably and self evidently wrong in fact that refutation of your wrongness is rendered unneccessary Your difficulty appears to be with those who publicise rather than those who investigate, in particular those who report with little or no connection to the research or scientists in question. please see the times article above for reference. for someone who states that their concerns lie in the the lack of investigation, you dont do a hell of a lot of it yourself. im afraid when it comes to global warming you are on the wrong side of the evidence, which is only a left/right issue in the us. It is a political position you have taken rather than a weighing of the evidence and therefore does not pass your own smell test. amazng what happens when you hold yourself up to your own standards aint it?

That cannot happen today mainly because of obstruction by certain people: namely, the owners of the mass media who support the views and political party which Ma Republican also supports.

Just imagine how cold it would be if not for Global Warming! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH NASA: 2010 Meteorological Year Warmest Ever The 2010 meteorological year, which ended on 30 November, was the warmest in NASA's 130-year record, data posted by the agency today shows. Over the oceans as well as on land, the average global temperature for the 12-month period that began last December was 14.65˚C. That's 0.65˚C warmer than the average global temperature between 1951 and 1980, a period scientists use as a basis for comparison.
The 2010 meteorological year was slightly warmer than the previous warmest year, the 2005 calendar year, when the average temperature was 14.53˚C.

Thank God for GW... Future historians are likely to identify the Bush administration’s rash invasion of Iraq in that year as the start of America's downfall. However, instead of the bloodshed that marked the end of so many past empires, with cities burning and civilians slaughtered, this twenty-first century imperial collapse could come relatively quietly through the invisible tendrils of economic collapse or cyberwarfare. Notable contributors have included Albert Einstein Must have used a ghost writer. Why is it that mos of those people have gone to that happy typewriter in sky? Could it be that The Nation became the nation at some point in the past? Since global warming is happening all around us it must be really warm in Cancun, oh wait, coldest in a century. It must be beautiful in Miama, ah wait a minute in the 40's. But boston must be really warm, wait it hasn't gotten out of the 30's for a week. The "science" is actually a "fraud" and the followers are actually "lemmings". This is just the latest in a long line of "The World is Ending" chicken little (before he met Col. Sanders) type hype. And it is being championed by the UN, what would make any thinking person above 5 years old believe anything that comes out of the UN? Tell the truth, advocate good environmental behanior for the sake of doing the right thing and people will do the right thing. Try to scare them into believing and you get what you have today, true believers and realists!
