Has it ever occurred to you that the media are not reporting those stories because they are not true? No. Do you because they are true? FYI- One of the reasons that they're not reporting them (although some local TV stations have)is the full page adds BP runs in the local papers here in the FL Panhandle. Our local weekly has a full page BP add praising themselves and the daily papers sometimes run full page BP adds two to three times a week. Do you believe that this briberevenue may influence editorial policy? Years ago Sherman Skolnick talked about the oil-soaked press. I never fully understood their influence until I saw it in action here in the Gulf. Friends up north told me that they were surprised when they saw all the adds BP was running up north thousands of miles from the Gulf. I suspect that BP learned how to handle public relations and avoid the fines from the Exxon Valdez spill.

Do you have any personal experience- other than watching the propagandist crap- with the media, press conferences, TV, anything?

"There may be reports of people getting sick after eating Gulf seafood, there may also be reports of people wrecking their cars or beating their wives after eating Gulf seafood. They may not necessarily be related."
You do NOT have the makings of a good conspiracy theorist, Gregor. You don't live on or near the Gulf Coast do you? People are getting sick Many hospitalizations and some dying from this disaster. Numerous lab reports documenting VOCs in the sick. Reading some of your posts, I'll bet that you believe saying the US Federal Reserve is a private banking cartel is conspiracy theory , too.

' It was not just internet spammers who spread the story of the 51 year life expectancy of the Exxon-Valdez clean-up workers. It was mainly respected members of the great American Brainwashing Machine Mass Media, like Bloomberg and CNN: Numan: You would do well to go back and look at the truthiness of this statement. The Bloomberg report says: "and now it has been reported on CNN that the vast majority of those who worked to clean up the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska are now dead." But if you look at the CNN clip you will not see that CNN is reporting what Bloomberg says it reported. The statements come from an unnamed woman who is being interviewed by CNN. The selective editing takes away not only the identity of the woman but also any mention of what contravening facts may have been presented. Note that the woman also passes on the age 51 life expectancy, which is just a fiction. There were some 11,000 Alaskans working on the cleanup. Do you honestly believe that there could have been say 8,000 or 9,000 deaths over the the past 21 years, more than one a day, and that there has never been a major investigation by someone? If you believe that is possible, may I offer you some land? Florida land. Atlantic side, nowhere near the spill. Absolutely no drought worries. I can let you have it very inexpensively. Seriously, the story about all the deaths does not pass the sniff test. It smells rotten. Because it is rotten. It is an urban legend.

I live fairly near the Gulf coast and have many friends who live right on the water, none have complained or had any problems, everybody I know is still fishing in the Gulf and eating the fish. Here's the FISHING REPORT
Good coffee, good weed, and time on my hands...

Here's the FISHING REPORTHow far do you live inland from the coast and approximately where (don't have to be specific just give the latitude)and are your "friends" commercial fisherman? Eating fish from the Gulf in like playing Russian roulette. It can take just one bad fish.
