The list is bogus, Rick. For starters, both Palm Springs and WeHo have 40% gay population, so even in the percent gay list you refer to. Then again even the total list shows Los Angeles as #2.

But keep on there, little brother.

Um...sorry Scout, but Palm Springs didn't make the 10 Gay City ten list - just as El Lay didn't. laugh

Maybe because they are a lot more subtle and don't need to toot their horns every five minutes like Frisco Gays. [Linked Image from mail.yimg.com]

But as Phil said...There are only more of a percentage of Gays/Lesbians. Los Angeles and Palm Springs still outnumber(that would mean more) NoCal.

And it really doesn't matter if SoCal is gay or Straight, there are more people here, period. And that's because we like it. laugh cool

My condolences. I grew up in Redondo Beach, and smartly moved north to live in a region that embraces forward-thinking ecology, progressive life-styles, and a plethora of stunning geography - which includes forests of Sequoia sempervirens - which El Lay can't grow. smile

Not according to the list. Hmm

...and "if" it were true - which it isn't, El Lay County is 4061 square miles, San Francisco is only 49 square miles.

We have more gays per square mile. coffee

This must bore the bajeezus out of most, but it is fun. With WeHo having only 1.7 sq miles and 16,000 gays, I think we beat Frisco.

West Hollywood is about 50 percent gay? That is an amazing statistic.
