Barbara Bush would concur.

Sarah Palin, in an excerpt from her show "Alaska", says "Why do we want to give up tranquility?" and "family must always come first". If that is how she truly feels and since she claims she is so happy there, she should follow through on her statements and stay there. She is doing an excellent job of promoting her home state.

She doesn't seem to make any gaffes or misteps when speaking of Alaska, like she does in a political situation. She was very supportive of her daughter Bristol in DWTS, and was very good on TV when speaking of her daughter and how she danced. She seems much more at ease with the media in that kind of situation. She tries too hard to be a leader and comes off grating to a lot of people. She is not well-informed politically, but shines in that respect about Alaska.

Give it up, Scout. Iss wouldn't admit to the stench from his toilet after a week of living on chili.

In the desert
I saw a creature, naked, bestial,
Who, squatting upon the ground,
Held his heart in his hands,
And ate of it.
I said, "Is it good, friend?"
"It is bitter--bitter," he answered;
"But I like it
Because it is bitter,
And because it is my heart."
-- Stephan Crane
Life is too short for such bitterness, loganrbt. coffee

You are right Hos, life is too short for these quick-reply barbs. I thought I had given up. It is a habit that is too strong for me to break. I apologize
