Hmmph! When I was a kid, the street in front of our house would look like a river during a Los Angeles rainstorm!

And I still remember the Great L.A. Snowfall of 1949; we used up all the snow in our front yard to make a snowman!

That 1949 snow was a shocker. My family had just moved from Milwaukee to LA to escape such inhuman weather. Of course it lasted about 4 hours, but yes, it was snow.

BTW, Numan, we have improved our drainage since then.

For those, like me, who were unable to see the eclipse:

It is raining so much and so hard, that my dogs refuse to go outdoors to do their "business", unless Mr. Scoutgal or I stand over them with an umbrella. rolleyes Do you think our pooches are a bit high maintenance? LOL

My dog will go outside when it rains, he just refuses to go anywhere but up against the house during a storm. But if it's nice and dry out, the little stinker will pee anywhere in the yard, and then go find the last place he peed so he can roll in it.

He collects cat hairballs too... he doesn't eat them, he just carries them around the house. He's a disgusting little bastard. sick LOL

Twinkie likes to drag a blanket around with her, so that she can burrow under it wherever I go throughout the house.

Same with Dolly, although after 4 days she realizes she has to endure a few minutes of rain so she doesn't burst. Good doggie.
