It is raining so much and so hard, that my dogs refuse to go outdoors to do their "business", unless Mr. Scoutgal or I stand over them with an umbrella. Do you think our pooches are a bit high maintenance? Same with Dolly, although after 4 days she realizes she has to endure a few minutes of rain so she doesn't burst. Good doggie. Our oldest dog is getting to that point. I just keep thinking of that picture you posted of Dolly last year(?) of her in her rain coat!

Well I tried the fur lined rain coat today and she would have nothing of it, managed to pull out of it and her leash and run back to the door.

My older two dogs won't wear any kind of coat or sweater, but Twinkie loves them. But she loves blankets a lot, too!

Roscoe loves to go out and play in the rain. He just can't imagine why I wont come out and throw the ball for him. But he's a Saint Johns Water Dog, the colder and wetter the better!

Speaking of pets has anyone heard of this: Eternal Earth-Bound Pets, USA The next best thing to pet salvation in a Post Rapture World You've committed your life to Jesus. You know you're saved. But when the Rapture comes what's to become of your loving pets who are left behind? Eternal Earth-Bound Pets takes that burden off your mind.
We are a group of dedicated animal lovers, and atheists. Each Eternal Earth-Bound Pet representative is a confirmed atheist, and as such will still be here on Earth after you've received your reward. Our network of animal activists are committed to step in when you step up to Jesus. >snip< Our service is plain and simple; our fee structure is reasonable. For $110.00 we will guarantee that should the Rapture occur within ten (10) years of receipt of payment, one pet per residence will be saved. Each additional pet at your residence will be saved for an additional $15.00 fee.

[Dolly] managed to pull out of it and her leash and run back to the door. You leash your dog?! I don't. If Gawd wanted Sam to have a leash, he would have attached one at birth. Sam goes to the green belt, does his biz and comes straight home. I go pick it up - later. I do make sure the green belt is all cleaned up for the landscapers - they shouldn't have to deal with that. Last Wednesday before the landscapers came, I picked up three lunch bags of poop. We need to get one of the doggie baggy stations. We'll do it next fiscal year - we've spent too much this year.

First, the law requires dogs to be leashed. Second, I live in a high traffic area (as you know) and would not want her to suddenly run across the street after a squirrel -- her favorite -- and be struck by a car. Third, I am glad some of the big dogs around here are leashed or Dolly would be dinner.
West Hollywood has doggie bag dispensers every few blocks to make it all easier. The density of dogs is reported to be the highest in the nation so dog rules are important.

All true. I did forget (temporarily) that you live in a very urban area. When I visit my um..."friend" at Clinton and Hayworth he gets upset at me when I don't leash Sam.
