A Very Gizzy Christmas to all my friends at Reader Rant!
A "Gizzy" is a small white fluff ball, useless for pretty much anything, not even any good at catching mice. But superb for petting and purring...oh, and playing with nice shiny ribbons.

Reminds me of a trebble. Did you see Shrek 4- Happy ever after? In the alternate time stream, Puss 'N Boots was a fat cat. He's explaining his somewhat out of shape condition since his retirement while pouring himself a bottle of milk. While lapping the milk from the saucer, a mouse also begins drinking from the same saucer. The fat cat very nonchalantly says that he'll get it later. It was very funny.
My brother, a long-haul truck driver, called me from someplace in Mississippi this morning to wish me a Merry Christmas. While we were chatting he told me he'd been driving through a town in Western Georgia the other day and stopped at the local Piggly Wiggly for a cuppa. As he waited in line to pay he glanced across the street and saw the life-size manger scene set up on the front lawn of the courthouse. What surprised him was the fact that the three wise men were all dressed in firefighter turnout gear.
He asked the woman at the cash register what was up with that and she scoffed at him. "Ya'll Northerners don't read your Bible, do you? It says right there that the three wise men came from a far."
