I wouldn't mind seeing a well-done and well-written version of All in the Family set in the world of the Tea Party, Joe the Plumber, and the Mitch and Tan Man Congressional laughfest. Oh! That would be fun - and give them a married (...in Iowa) Lesbian couple as next door neighbors raising mixed-raced children. Oh! One of the Lesbians is a Buddhist Captain in the Army on a tour of duty in Afghanistan and the other is a Palestinian-American college Woman's Studies professor holding the fort until her spouse comes home. Personally, my favorite scripted show is The Middle (Wednesday nights on ABC). I only TiVo two scripted shows: The Middle and Two-and-a-half-Men. The Yin and Yang contrast of those two shows suits my Gemini personality very well.
