Our view of Vancouver was influenced heavily by the fact it was Pride weekend and featured a fabulous fireworks show for Celebrating of Life. Weather was so-so but I was very impressed by the fact that during the parade, attended mostly by straight folk, every entry was loudly cheered. You just don't get that here in WeHo, and before Rick chimes in, SF either.
