I hope someone will let all the Reader Rant people know that our "My Book Page" Martha is nearing the end of her struggle with MS. If you would like to send her a message, I can get someone to read the message to her.

Martha, you are one of those treasures that helps us all through the stuff that so often gets us mired down. For me, you have so often reminded me of both the lighter side of life and it's deeper meanings that I will be forever grateful that our paths criss-crossed each other for so brief a time.

One of my favorite memories of Martha(I was able to meet her in person) was when we sat for peace on a street corner in Huntsville, Alabama. It didn't matter that it was not the popular stance in that town. She was brave, opinionated, strong, and heart-felt. I am proud to have known her, and to call her friend.

I popped in here to wish President Obama a happy birthday. Instead I will add another post to the love we all feel for Martha. She is much more important to the quality of this site than anyone.....We love you Martha. Always a lady, always full of optimism and always a joy to read.
