You see why I prefer living in Canada? The Canadians are at least testing for radiation.

As far as I know, the American authorities still haven't started doing that.

And what would that "enable", Neuman ?

"Testing" is one thing. Determining what constitutes a "safe level of exposure", OTOH is a horse of an entirely different gensis, let alone color. >Mech

Ah......Yessss.......

The ole' "Chernobyl Ploy"....... And the de reguir depictions of tsumanmi damage with the (voice-over implied) it was the result of the "Fukishima Disaster".

Then there's the "approach" replete with multiple cuts to the passengers wearing paper face masks. Then the obligatory "gamma radiation warning" at 20 kilometers distance delivered by some unidentifyable, (and uncited) "meter/monitor" where all we're permitted to see is a warning light.

Makes for nice theatre. Doesn't convey squat for science.

Paper face masks are useless as protection agains gamma radiation. They may - depending upon their particular efficiency - offer some "protection" against alph and beta radiation. Then there's the whole issue of the source of gamma so far from the plant(s),

IOW, a blatently biased POS masquerading as "reporting" ! SF Fantasy might be a better descritption ! >Mech

The only thing this would enable (aside from the obvious scam to rake in easy money for some worthless Sciemtists) is the destruction of the Independent fisherman. Once they're gone, the big boys will slide right in and jack the prices after paying off their crony Scientists who will suddenly claim the "danger" has passed.

How much is "other" radiation from "around the world" NOT being "tracked"?

"Our Existence" is poisoning The Earth.

Sometimes things just don’t go right. The next time there is a 9.0 earthquake and a 30 meter tsunami in your neighborhood be sure you have supplies.

Earthquake caused massive nuclear storage casks to move

Quote
Last week's central Virginia earthquake caused 25 spent-fuel storage casks -- each weighing 115 tons -- to move on their concrete pad at Dominion Virginia Power's North Anna nuclear power plant. The shifting of these massive casks holding used nuclear fuel was the first caused by an earthquake in the U.S., according to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
