Yes, I too am in favor of greatly expanded nuclear power generation. In fact, nuclear plants dedicated to making hydrogen to power fuel cell cars sounds great to me. No pollution (except for the sticky waste issue)and a divorce from the ME.
But it does require a standardized design. Is that possible with the lobbyists all demanding a piece of the pie? Unlikely, and something that could be relatively straightforward will in all likelyhood be transformed into the dreaded Rubik's Cube. Ain't democracy great!
