YEA!!! Sandy's back.

When do you think the country will stop pretending to be free and democratic?

Heil, mr. president!

it just looks as though it is reverting. After you click on submit the password fields are filled with dots, but your change has been made, as is evidenced when you use the new password upon re-logging in.

Thanks, Phil - I finally realized that after a couple of tries. I still can't seem to get my avatar to show up, but that's par for the course with me. I tried entering the same link that Hal Brown provided me the last time I added my avatar, but apparently that doesn't work this time around...oh well.

I hate to sound like such a Luddite, but I'm finding this new format a lot more difficult to get around in (I really miss that neat little eraser feature!). You know what they say about teaching old dogs new tricks...

(BTW, that's a cool picture, Phil.)

Great to see you on here, Sandy!!

I have to keep logging in which means I have to remember who I am. I'm getting old folks and will worry about my avatar when the computer can remember who I am. I had one way back when but haven't a clue where it would be.

No, you have to hit the "reply" button in the post itself instead of using the "quick reply".

More bad news from SCOTUS:

Supreme Court hands victory to Bush on faith-based initiatives

Quote
On a 5-4 decision

And for our Head Honcho and his fellow Virginians:

Virginia Introduces $3550 Speeding Ticket

Quote
Virginia motorists convicted of minor traffic violations will face a new, multi-year tax beginning July 1. Led by state Delegate David B. Albo (R-Springfield), lawmakers slipped a driver responsibility tax into a larger transportation funding bill signed by Governor Tim Kaine (D) in April. Albo, a senior partner in the Albo & Oblon, LLP traffic law firm, can expect to see a significant increase in business as motorists seek to protect their wallet from traffic tickets that come with assessments of up to $3000 in addition to an annual point tax that tops out at $700 a year for as long as the points remain.

In the words of the Immortal Bard:

First thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers.

(He didn't mean you, Phil grin)
