Wait! Y'all are lookin' this the wrong way around! Texas just saved the federal gummint $36 billion buckaroos.

AR~You can add Kansas, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama to that list!  Scout...what the hell is going on? Are aliens beaming us back to the Dark Ages? It's all so freaky - hell fire, I'm starting think Pat Robertson makes sense and I'm an atheist. Either all the nutjobs are swarming like killer bees to these states , or normal thinking people are moving to get away from the ones already there. I'm thinking it's maybe a combination of both.

After this summer, by all means please let's see Texas secede and declare sovereignty.
By that time my family and I will be comfortably settled back in Southern California, and it will be a fun show to watch.
I just don't want to still be living there when it all goes down. I'm waiting on ya, bro!

Wait! Y'all are lookin' this the wrong way around! Texas just saved the federal gummint $36 billion buckaroos. Maybe Gov. Perry can save us even more money by seceding. We can move Mission Control to another state, and shut down all those military bases, buildings, court houses, infrastructure monies, tax dollars from other states and any subsidies. And we'll save a bundle by keeping any money earmarked for Texas, not to mention pay and perks for the two Senators and several Congresspeople!

I figure Perry needs some help shutting all of the other Federal Funds received by Texas. Perry's gonna get really tired figuring it all out. Brain ache, ya know? Ma can spot a dime on a gnat's ass at 300 paces...so he'd be a big asset to Perry.

Of course their financial structure would fall apart immediately because there would be no federal reserve infrastructure for clearing checks, etc. There would be no postal service. There would be no air traffic control. Their military bases with all the money they pump into the economy would disappear.

Just cut Texas off the federal dole entirely. Cold turkey. Have a citizenship test. Hold a Texas license, barred from receiving federal program dollars, disaster funds, whatever. See how that goes over. Same standard as applied to UNESCO. But, we'll have to use the Baltimore Colt method of moving the military bases, or we'll get another Fort Sumter.
