This was some fairly new information posted on a New Zealand site and I thought it was worthy of at least a mention.

As a matter of fact I have been "here" for quite some time. Mostly lurking. And I even made a contribution to Doug's campaign. Not that I have much to give but I do what I can.
I'm glad to here. So stay. We can use you. And don't mind the humor. It's not mean spirited.

I too get tired of hearing that democratic pabulum. It is obvious that in any election in which there is more than one candidate, the most one can say is that some of the voters got what they wanted or deserved. To claim anything else is to morph the individual voter into a false singularity in which fault or credit for ensuing policy is somehow shared by those who sought an opposite result.:-)

Good one, iss. [Linked Image from aximsite.com]

But I beg to differ. I think one could go so far as to say that many rather than some and non-voters as well as voters get what they deserve, without morphing the individual voter into a false singularity in which fault or credit for ensuing policy is somehow shared by those who sought an opposite result.

What say you?

And a belated welcome to eagerto(letus)know, with all due condolences for having to put up with the fact that most of us already did. So far your thread has had over 240 hits. If that is not sufficient to assuage your sorrow at not being one of the priviledged few whose comments are considered worthy of consideration, all I can say is a river dirty, our feet are stained, so oscar la banana until we meet again. 240 hits. Wow! I retract my comments as to "privileged few".
