Is advertising on popular Inernet web sites effective? Is the Internet anymore or less effective than the Yellow Pages, which in my opinion is wasted ad money? GM PULLS ADS I rarely notice ads on the Net. But, If you want information about products or have a specific need...the Net beats the Yellow Pages hands down IMO. The Net is the world's largest window shopping excursion and market place. However, I'm not so sure about ads on the Net???

I seldom pay attention to adds of FB or other such sites. I am very happy that my professional website brings a significant amount of business because people look for information which I provide.
I think of the website as an advertisement, but one that has to be sought out, not put in your face.

I would consider us most fortunate if many many corporations pulled their advertising out of our faces and let their products speak for themselves a little bit more. I may be the exception but I am totally blind and deaf to "advertising" of any sort. I have no television, don't listen to radio, ignore newspaper ads and billboards, paid for an internet ad blocker that is 100% effective.
HRRRRM...I do sound like maybe I'm the exception...nevermind.
