Oh, wait! We've already determined its proper placement.

So ... in the fiction section, should it be filed under historic fiction ... or maybe ... fantasy?

Proper placement of this book would be in the large circular file. [Linked Image from mail.yimg.com]

Actually, I think using it the way they used to use the Sears and Robuck catalogs would be the best possible use.

Of course, the paper would be rough.

Unfortunately this book, and similar volumes like it, formed the core of what ultimately became the means by which the Texas State Schoolbook Commission "sent Thomas Jefferson to the woodshed".

Future Texas school texts will have a minimized version of Jefferson's role as a founding Dad, and the reach of Texas goes beyond its own borders. Because of the size of Texas' purchasing power, neighboring states will also be using the Texas version of history unless they wish to pay more for separate editions that do not revise history this way.

Sigh...the neighboring states will use texts that will meet their curriculum and frameworks standards. Been over this before. Text can have material added or deleted to meet their needs.

When I was part of a team evaluating curriculum that is exactly what we did.
