Ron G, it depends on the university. In 1950 Stanford University was all Republican! It was the choice of students who had perfect grades in school and money. It was also expensive and catered to the many private schools all over the State.
Sounds about right, "perfect grades and money", perfect grades alone don't do it but add in the money and you've got yourself a collegiate young republican.
I attended a Private Girls school with the daughters of the Hollywood Studio Owners, stars and crew. It was the most Republican group I ever encountered.

That's a bit of an elitist statement. Considering the entertainment industry is largely owned and controlled by conservatives who have done their very best to indoctrinate everyone with conservative views. The "Librul media" is anything but, they are republican lapdogs. Despite the entertainment industries attempt to enforce a one party republican system Americans of all ages are beginning to see through the lies.
If indeed we have become a collectivist society it has been through the machinations of Republicans. The power of their votes has been explained to them as the power of removing anyone with liberal views from power.
Blaming foreign studio owners for what your party has done doesn't work for me and is Europe really such an awful place?
I haven't had a vacation in seven years, don't see one anytime in the future, they get a month a year. My health insurance is over $500 a month, theirs is a socialized Hillarycare system that seems to work pretty well. Is Europe further in debt than the US?
Are its people worse off in general? What freedoms do we have that they don't?
