Whether or not you were in awe of Hollywood is moot. You were strongly influenced by the entertainment industry and yet blame (some of) Americas problems on those who are strongly influenced by the entertainment industry. I am rather in awe of your background and wish I coulda been there! Those must've been some incredible times. Believe me, this wasn't meant as an attack, just a few points and questions about your comments. This is one of the very few places in the world where Democrats and Republicans can speak with some civility to each other. I can see I was a bit confused on some points as you mentioned foreign studio owners and the European situation in the same sentence.
My questions are still pertinent and remain unanswered.
My granddad was a farmer, my dad a mechanic, mom was a checkout girl at the local supermarket. I have no education beyond high school and have been a self employed woodworker for 35 years. I have no television nor do I attend movies. Now you know my lofty past and may consider me a snob or not.
Just who exactly are these people you term "collectivists"?
