The GOP has long abandoned young Americans all together. There's going to be a price to pay for this arrogance.
The "price" will be that Republicans generate complete alienation among all young voters, so that none of them vote in any elections, or those who do vote for hopeless third party candidates who they are told will 'solve all our political problems" (see every single screaming headline or pundit rant on this web site for evidence of the Rove republican strategy).
The only voters left will be the Religious Right, who will never stop voting for Republicans,
no matter what, because that is what Jesus wants them to do. The few Democrats left will be insufficeint to get enough votes to get beyond Republican 100% loyalty to a dictatorial Republican president, and Democrats will never be able to elect a president because of the way electoral votes are slanted toward the "Red States".
Watch and see. You are seeing that srategy unfolding right here. It will work to perfection in 2008. Those who declare they are 'fed up with both parties" will deliver the country back to the Republicans, under President Guiliani, President Thompson, or President Gingrich. Any of whom will "Stay the Course" that George W Bush as set.
