Has anyone caught The Company?

Liked the first episode. Not so much the second. But waiting for the third.

Tiz a zoom through the CIA from "inside". Not sure if it is supposed to be about how dangerous it is, how mucked up it is based on "oh, we know that (a mole) but we'll do it anyways", or why one small set of agents (on both sides) are involved with everything from WWII to present. But, hey...the couch is comfortable. crazy

Naaw just kidding you left yourself open....okay quitting smoking is more fun when reading Reader Rant note to self.

I also partake of the Netflix and lately I've been doing Netflix and CinemaNow online and I was a Beta tester for their new
HD service which is NOTHING SHORT OF SPECTACULAR.

I've also been watching (via the same source) the first season of a show called "Dead Like Me." I don't think it's that great - but Mandy Patinkin? I'll give it a couple more episodes.

---HUUUH???! Will someone explain why Mandy Patinkin is so hot?
Gives me hope cause he's borderline cardigan sweater old.

Sorry, Jeff...I don't particularly think Patinkin is "hot" -- hmmm, I'd have to think about that one awhile -- but he IS a good actor, and those are few and far between.

As for "cardigan sweater old" - sheer agism, my friend. Give me a choice between Paul Newman any ANY young actor as a dinner companion, and I'd pick Newman any time, just for sheer conversational interest.

Last night I watched a pretty good sunset, followed soon after by the setting of the new moon. I watched lightning bouncing around some distant clouds and hoped the rain would come my way. I watched a gecko eat a moth, a spider weave a web. I watched spicy poultry browning on the grill, then I watched it disappear. I scanned my bookshelves after that, chose something by De Lint, then read a book and watched the clock til it said time for bed.

I don't do much tv either. If it happens to be on when I come upstairs, I may watch a few minutes of PBS before putting a movie in the DVD. We rent from a locally owned store called Rosebud. Cool name, huh? The owners are very much kindred spirits. I can essentially pick a movie at random from the "indie" section and have a worthwhile experience. The other night I rented one called "Hysterical Blindness" starring Uma Thurman. The story line was a pretty ho-hum, but still I was expecting it to at least be tolerable. It was spectacular!

I love my local store! [Linked Image from aximsite.com]
