I agree with you Kathy, about much-needed rain, but I feel much trepidation as Dean approacheth. Conditions are so perfect for development into a monster storm, and the memory of Katrina's right-hand turn in the Gulf is embossed on my brain. It's so dry here, a lot of our hardwoods are going from green to brown - again. Already happened in April, when the freshly budded new growth got frozen by that unexpected cold snap. This has been such a weird weather year.
