Mt Diablo is a beloved part of the Bay Area, sad to see this come about. Of course the entire West is likely to have unprecedented fire outbreaks this fall.

Actually, many are already counting on the bountiful wild flowers expected next spring due to this fire.

Mother Nature is a bitch, but these fire cycles have gone on since for hundreds of thousands of years. Once you have seen one you understand just how insignificant humans can be in the big scheme of things.

Except, Ted, humans are accelerating these cycles because of our actions and infringement on natural habitats, not to mention our impact on climate.

Hie yourself to Amazon, search in books for Boundless, then sort by price from low to high.
They are giving away about twenty different college textbooks.
You may not need them or want them right now, but if nothing else they are great reference books.
Calculus, algebra, anat & physioloogy, chemistry, accounting, marketing, art history, US history, etc. Even if you don't have a kindle you can read them on your computer.

This morning, a small flock of Canada geese flew southward over my house, honking as they passed by. Could this mean that Fall(and hopefully cooler temperatures are on the way?
