Why can't you keep your advertising confined to the top and side bar spaces? I have to click to turn off a rising banner ad on every new page that I chose to view...... Is this type advertising revenue so important? It's a pester ad that nobody reads or wishes to deal with. Also, in case you haven't noticed there is someone pushing a website called "Lawyers Gold Coast." This poster "Allen" not only posts his message once but multiple times in succession and does so off topic and generally interfering with the discussion. Where are your moderators on these flagrant violations? Or, is Allen another paying advertiser? This forum is beginning to be more irritating than informative. Originally Posted By: Allen

We HAVE to tolerate a certain amount of advertising.
You might not like it but it is how Doug pays the bills.
I don't find the bottom banner annoying, it's just there.
What I WOULD find annoying: clicking on RR one morning to find
a farewell announcement. It would be like losing my second family
in a huge wreck or a tornado.

We HAVE to tolerate a certain amount of advertising. No you don't. I have not seen an ad on Reader Rant since about 2008. Not one ad. NOT ONE!!!  Doug makes space for the ad, he gets money, and we don't have to see the ads and here's how: 1. Firefox 2. Get Ghostery add-on from Mozilla 3. Get adblocker for Firefox 11.0+ add-on from Mozilla 4. Get adblock Edge 2.0.8 add-on from Mozilla (You must have all three add-ons  ) win-win
