This afternoon, buses carrying migrant families were rerouted to a US-Mexican border station after being blocked by protesters waving American flags in Murrieta, California near San Diego.
The protesters, some yelling, "They're not born here!" and "Go back to Mexico!" stood in the street, blocking the buses as they were headed to the suburban border patrol station in Murrieta.
People around the world saw this which confirmed for them that, indeed, there really are Ugly Americans.
It's not like these brown babies are going to rape, murder, rape-murder, and rape-murder-throw-you-in-a-ditch! Time to get guns America! Brown babies coming atcha!
Listen up, "Health" and "Human" "Services" jerks, the good people of Murrieta, CA don’t want you putting the brown babies in baby jail. Oh, wait, let me clarify: they don’t want you putting the brown babies in baby jail in their town.

They do not have to house, feed and cure these criminals. They are not crossing illegally into their country and they are not using resources that should be dedicated to Americans. It has nothing to do with color, or race, or any of the other liberal canards thrown about by the left. They do not belong here, they do not contribute to any community, state or region. They are freeloaders and should be brought back to Mexico as soon as possible.

They came in from Mexico, bring them back there. i do not care where they go from there, as long as it isn't back into the United States.

Welcome back MA. Someone I can vehemently disagree with! If you think it is not about race, you're not thinking it through. Nor, by the way, are migrant workers displacing American workers. I have not seen these protests concerning European workers, has anyone (since, say, 1922)? No, they have brown skin. It is possible, if one intellectualizes it (as Ma does here), to place it in another context, to create a semblance of a balanced, rational genesis. But, that is to distort reality. The reason for the protests is as Rick described, and the motivation of the protesters is race. It doesn't take a "liberal" to make it about race, it started there.
A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.

... It doesn't take a "liberal" to make it about race, it started there. Do you mean that if it is about race, then to point that out is not playing the race card? It would logically follow that anyone who tries to shut down a discussion wherein racism is present by playing the, "you are playing the race card," card, doesn't have a rational argument to put forth, wouldn't it?

I am not back, I lurk every once in a while until I read some liberal nonsense I can't not respond to. This has nothing to do with race and everything to do with politics. I do not object to immigration. On the contrary, I have worked with many very smart people who were born elsewhere. My objection is importing people into America that do not contribute to her success and are only a drain on our society. Also, the reason for the protests are because this situation is just WRONG. These people are not coming here because they want a new life, they are coming here to get away from their old life. They will bring the same passive attitudes and the same acceptance of poverty that they came from. They will not learn the language and they will form tribes. Don't believe me, look at LA and Miami. America is broken and broke, we cannot absorb the influx of illegal aliens that the streaming across the border, nor should we be forced to. If the Obama Administration won't do anything about it, then protests are the next step. I am proud of those protesters and hope it spreads across America. If this is indeed a "Federal" law enforcement issue, then let them set up housing and not just pass it off to some nameless town so they can create a humanitarian disaster. My suspicion is that this is what they are trying to do, sacrifice this batch of criminal children so others in the future will be easier forced upon American society. Obama is taking the long view, and the protesters are refusing to accept it.

Hey Ma_R, is that a novel, or a movie, where you are getting your swell scenes of apocalypse? What's the name of it, if you don't mind my asking?

Ma_Republican said: They are freeloaders and should be brought back to Mexico as soon as possible. You are blogging from Mexico? Why do you want them back?

Ma, I do appreciate that your participation is more limited than in days past, but I am happy to have you here, when you do. I accept that your support of the protests is not race-based, but political. It is, nonetheless, based upon a fantasy perpetuated by those with a particular (mostly economic) agenda, some of which are reflected in your post, e.g.: "we cannot absorb the influx of illegal aliens that the streaming across the border, nor should we be forced to." What is this based upon? Certainly, it is not fact-based, but impression-based. (In fact, the flow of illegal immigrants has slowed during the Obama administration, and increased under Bush. Inconvenient, huh?) And why do you have this impression? Because you have been manipulated to believe it for political reasons. Similarly "My objection is importing people into America that do not contribute to her success and are only a drain on our society." What facts support this assertion (because they are wrong)? Did you know, for example, that 70% of immigrants come from Asia and North America? The Facts on Immigration Today Here are just a few more: Immigrants have a diverse set of educational backgrounds. About 68 percent of the foreign-born population have attained a high school diploma, GED, or higher, compared to 89 percent of the native-born population. Approximately 11 percent of immigrants have a master’s degree, professional degree, or doctorate degree, compared to 10.2 percent of the native-born population. More than half of the foreign-born are homeowners. Around 52 percent of immigrants own their own homes, compared to 67 percent of native-born individuals. Among immigrants, 66 percent of naturalized citizens own their own homes. The 20 million U.S.-born children of immigrants are significantly better off financially than their immigrant parents. The median annual household income of second-generation Americans is $58,100, just $100 below the national average. This is significantly higher than their parents’ median annual household income of $45,800. U.S.-born children of immigrants are more likely to go to college, less likely to be living in poverty, and equally likely to be homeowners as the average American. About 36 percent of U.S.-born children of immigrants are college graduates—5 percent above the national average. Eleven percent of U.S.-born children of immigrants are in poverty—well below the national average of 13 percent. And around 64 percent of them are homeowners—just 1 percent under the national average. Immigrants are less likely to commit crimes or be incarcerated than native-born Americans, and higher rates of immigration are not associated with higher crime rates. A 2007 study finds that the incarceration rate for immigrant men ages 18 to 39 in 2000 was 0.7 percent, while the incarceration rate for native-born men of the same age group was 3.5 percent. While the foreign-born share of the U.S. population grew from 8 percent to 13 percent between 1990 and 2010, FBI data indicate that violent crime rates fell about 45 percent, while property crime rates fell 42 percent across the United States. I love to debate the issues, and I love diversity of opinion, which is why I participate here. I also like when those opinions are based upon evidence. Here's some additional resources that might prove helpful in the discussion: Immigration Facts - Fairus.org Immigration: History, Facts, Statis..., Statistics, Laws, Biographies and More - Infoplease.
