These children aren't just fleeing to the US, they are fleeing to other
nearby countries as well. Some run north and some run south.
I wish they could be treated as refugees. We give them temporary asylum while we figure out some way to help them relocate somewhere else. Since Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador are too dangerous, maybe we could help them settle in a South American country that is safer and less populated than we are.
This is why we should elect smart people. Our elected officials should be able to figure this out. I just can't feel right about dumping them somewhere like a litter of unwanted kittens.
