You won't get much for your ticket in terms of bloodsport, Tim.
But if my experience in Minneapolis is any indicator, you'll be eating your words. A large contingent of Hmong were already DROPPED IN DETROIT, and in the Twin Cities about fifteen or twenty years ago and they turned slum neighborhoods into a virtual paradise.

Wrong, they followed their dumb luck because anytime a high energy/high tech civilization meets a low energy civilization the latter always end up with the short end of the stick.

Might makes right the law of the land? What effing LAW are we talking about, Tim? Accepted? By WHOM?
That wasn't a "law" unless you're talking about the law of the jungle. In that case, I'm following the law if I bust into your house with an AK, rape your wife, steal your flatscreen and force you to drive me to an ATM where I empty out your savings account.

Because might makes right.
It was a home invasion.

Jeff, while I applaud your effort, you can not make progress here if you base your approach on logic or morality. They have no application to ideological nostrums.

A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.

Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich
