An apology to the Rant community:
Particularly to those who were on line or trying to connnect at approximately 0730 EDT this morning, my attempt to log in after a prolonged absence apparently caused the entire board to crash. Mea culpa.
Not clear whether it was excited joy at my return or abject fear about my return, but what difference does it make. I caused a ripple in the core of the Universe. I am indeed sorry.

NW_P furnished my lovely pdx apartment with a futon couch yesterday. He also met Sammy dawg, which was no doubt, the highlight of both of Sammy dawg's and NW_Ps day.

"Do you have frog protection?" Not to butt in, but are you asking this question of yourself, or another poster? As for myself, alas, my frog died last week in a car accident. Apparently my frog protection was inadequate, and it is now not needed, so I have canceled the service.
