Only if we are faced by another incompetent boob.... OK, I give up, you are correct.

I predict that those who support Gonzo, et. al., will say that he did nothing wrong, but was hounded from office by unjustifiable accusations by rabid partisans in Washington.

I'll see your prediction and raise you one, Senator. I'll predict what the reason is: the replacement was chosen by the Bush Administration.

The Alumni magazine for Rice University (where Alberto Gonzales received his undergraduate degree) just cut off debate about Albert and whether alumni should be proud of him or not. It has been one year since the article that started the letters, and one year later, that topic still dominated the letters section. I think this may be a first for them, having to officially cut off debate rather than just waiting for the next issue to replace it.

Letters were running about 4 to 1 against pride in this particular product of the university.

I support A.G. Gonzales and know he made mistakes, everyone does, and yes he was hounded out of office for the reason you said Fermi.

You are probably right stereoman. But as much as I disliked Pres. Clinton I did not automatically dislike whoever he appointed to any position. Can any of the rabid anti-Bush people make that statement? As a matter of fact there were a few Clinton appointments I supported.
