Good news!! The AG can't be a "recess appointment" - it must be a Senate confirmation! Why not? Certainly it cannot be because George W. Bush would be constrained by US laws or the Constitution, or any promises President Bush has made. Is there another reason?

...because the Attorney General appointee has to be vetted by the Senate ![[Linked Image from i48.photobucket.com]](http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/ca_rickf/Smilies/icon_cool.gif) , ![[Linked Image from i48.photobucket.com]](http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/ca_rickf/Smilies/thumbs.gif) (In other words, "someone" can't be 'slipped in' just for the time being...)

Leave the office vacant, is what I meant. Not so different than we've had recently...

To leave the office of the Attorney General vacant might not be such a bad idea. Since that is unlikely to happen, and we just can't survive without every government position filled, :/ are there any nominations from the floor? Who would YOU like to see as our new A.G.?

Who would YOU like to see as our new A.G. Well now that you ask ... me. Even though I may not have what you consider good qualifications, I am big on integrity and honesty.
