We had lived in Seattle for most of the 1980’s and I remember when that land in Tacoma that the course was built on was a working sand and gravel pit. The reclamation from it to golf course is an amazing story.
I was wondering where the tournament was being held when I saw the cement barriers on Sunday. I've only seen parts of the tournament in the break room at work. The first day I saw the ocean in the background and thought it was Pebble Beach and thought: boy did they let the turf turn brown.
