Steve, there were allegations of abuse in at least one of the articles posted earlier, and it did give me pause. But once again, I am unwilling to trust the media on this (or almost anything else.) I just don't think it's a slam-dunk, although if the allegations of abuse are proven, I agree that it changes everything.
One piece I haven't figured out, and that is why the birth father didn't just stay on his farm in Cuba. No one has said that he's trying to use this to get into the States; if that's not the case, why would he bother trying to get this child, if he didn't want her? It's not a small task.
