Yes, Phil. it is our Scoutgal. I also just read about it on Facebook. Her daughter posted something, but doesn't give details. I know she was experiencing some major health setbacks of late. Very sad day for all of us. Oh, no! I just now found out about this!  Even though I never met Donna in person or even talked to her on the phone, I still thought of her as a friend. RIP, dear Donna.

The first time I met Donna, she met me at the Norms in Orange and she was sitting in the waiting area and her feet didn't touch the ground. Wow. That's about 5 miles from where I live.

For friends of Donna Gayler - her services are this Saturday, the 19th at St. Marks Lutheran Church. 2323 Las Lomitas Dr., Hacienda Heights. Reception to follow. I wish I'd been paying attention. I would have gone to say goodbye to Donna.

Donna's service was moving and beautiful. Capitol Hill Blue and Reader Rant were mentioned as part of her world I too am sorry I couldn't make it, but I couldn't make a cross-country flight. My thoughts, nonetheless, are with her family. She will be dearly missed.

I am so very sorry to hear about Donna. I learned of this a few days ago and was in total shock. Donna and I have been email friends for years. I knew she had serious health problems but she was always so upbeat and positive and loved her family so. We didn't always see eye to eye on politics, but we remained respectful friends. She was a caring and compassionate lady and she will be missed by many. Sending prayers to her family.
