It may not be the current meme, but the US Government actually does about 99% of the things it does right. The other 1% just gets in the news because it is the exception. I don't think that Ma_R gets the Rule of the Opposite Thang thing, where whatever Conservatives think and say is the opposite of the facts. And can you imagine that someone would actually claim to enjoy watching the destruction of the USA? That would be the view of an anti-American terrorist. I desperately hope, for Tim's sake, that he doesn't really feel that way and, in fact, feels just the opposite. ConROT...

Our health insurance cost went down. We kept our GP's. Thanks to our government. I now spend more money in other sectors of the economy than the insurance sector. That may be a reality that will not conform to the conservative group think. I'll enjoy watching conservatives reconciling Trump, also not fitting their narrative. A life long conservative family member is going Sanders. Pigs do apparently fly now.

Donald Trump is telling people not only what they want to hear, but what he actually thinks. Apparently one of the things that Donald Trump thinks is that he can lie about why he won't release his tax returns. I find that to be most refreshing and it's what I want to hear! Trump! Trump!

Trump gets about 35% of the Republican vote. As long as there are 3 or more candidates, he can win in a Republican contest. On the national level, as his views become more known, his negatives will go up. He will go from having approximately 16% support to somewhere nearer 12%. But, there is a strong contingent of Republicans (approximately 40%) who will vote for anyone with an R next to their name, so his support among Republicans as the nominee would be over 50%. I still don't think he gets the nomination. On the Democratic side, Sanders gets a lot of support from outsiders, and would trounce Trump if it were a Trump-Sanders race: General Election: Trump vs. Sanders. Here's the thing, Sanders is popular because he's likable. Trump gets his support because he's obnoxious. When it comes to running the country, people would rather vote for someone who is likable than obnoxious. B. Clinton, B. Obama, G.W. Bush, R. Reagan. Trump may rile up his base, but he can't bring anyone else to his cause. Sanders may rile up the base, but that support can be moved to Clinton if he doesn't get the nod. Trump supporters will not support a non-Trump candidate.
A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.
Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich

'Party has gone batshit crazy'Senator Lindsey Graham just endorsed Trump, but he did it because his endorsements are the kiss of death! Pretty funny article. I also read an article quoting a Conservative think tank pundit who said he would vote for Clinton if Trump is the Republican nominee. He said: "It's too late to save The Party, but we can still save the country."
