I did not presume (that is an assumption, and one you made) anything .... I noted the historical record .... land owners in general have never taken responsible custodial ownership of the land .... they strip it bare .... they denude forests .... over graze ... deplete the land .... etc ..... are you denying that is the historical record .... am I talking about you personally? only if it applies

why would you believe a lone land owner would have more information available to him than a whole bevy of scientists with expertise in land management? why did you assume they know nothing?

What's more, you also refute common understanding of the virtues of private ownership. The so called experts knows nothing that the active landowner actually working his own patch of land doesn't understand infinitely better.
