I don't think I'll be visiting any liberal channels if they are anything like the conservative ones I've seen. I find vitriol, from either side, to be quite distasteful.

Totally unscathed barring a wee bit of flooding which had begun the week before the storm arrived and worsened somewhat during the passage of Mathew up the coast. But I live on a flood plain and this isn't the first nor the last time I will see water flowing through my back yard.

Glad it didn't get up to your house! I think you are up in the pan handle, but I heard about Lake Okeechobee topping it's dikes and flooding central Florida during some past hurricanes.
Looks like most of the damage is along the coast, and it's amazing how few deaths in the US. Over 800 people died in Haiti! That just shows you how valuable government-driven evacuation can be.

Went to part 1 of 3 concerts called Desert Trip in Coachella, lovingly referred to as "Oldchella+ Tonight Bob Dylan led off followed by the Rolling Stones. I really loved the Stones who did mostly the old stuff.
Tomorrow Neil Young and Paul McCartney. Then Sunday is Roger Waters and the Who.
