Don't discount changes already made in the youth of America. Millenials are coming up with resoundingly progressive beliefs. Their embrace of Bernie Sanders speaks volumes about their rejection of the status quo in both parties. In numbers never seen before they are rejecting the tenets of organized religion and its bigotry towards the gay community. They struggled through the recession and watched as progressive policies opened up jobs and were given a brief glimpse of what life could have been like if higher education were more affordable. They tentatively accepted Clinton and the promise of the first woman president and were looking forward to a more egalitarian society in which they were accepted for who they are. And then they were slapped down.
They aren't going to forget this.
