That's only a partial reason why but it IS indeed a very LARGE part.
I remember Karl Rove running up and down the stairs at Fox in 2012 in utter disbelief that the evil machinations of the GOP had failed.
He had probably bet the farm on his team winning.
And so it goes, he probably had a little meeting afterward, much like the angry coach of a losing ball team.
