A while now it's been looking uncertain they believe it themselves.

Based on what? Do you have a generally low opinion of law enforcement?

I suspect many of these kinda folks believe, in particular, the federal law enforcement people believe they are above the law. I also suspect that to be true because the folks who believe it also do not believe in the Constitution. They feign belief in it to appear as if they are real Americans, real patriots. The reality is they are neither.
They believe in individualism in the extreme, a mountain man mentality, a go it alone quality. These are the folks who always lived on the outside of societies for many reasons. They just don't fit and never will. You can't tell me what to do, I am a sovereign citizen, beholden to no one, accountable only to myself, frak the world, I am the 1%.
They have an alternate weltanshuuang in which every attempt by the federal government to corral in any manner is seen as an attempt to metaphorically kill the individual, if not literally.
99% of the people in the world just want to be left alone to go about their daily business. I am one of the 99%.

I can never quite follow your thought processes, bigswede.

BLM is not specifically about police overstepping the law but about the institutionalization of bias/bigotry/prejudice/racism specifically directed against blacks. Blacks want to be treated no different than any white person would be treated. The use of force against blacks is a result of that institutionalized prejudice.
The comparison to police becoming more fearful of their life because everyone owns a gun is not a result of some grand conspiracy the police want to brutalize people but rather it is a result of having so goddamed many guns on the street in the hands of idiots.
The author of the article is mad for all the wrong reasons and then justifies the very thing he rails against.

Wait a minute. Are we talking about Bureau of Land Management or Black Lives Matter, when we use the initials BLM?
I don't see the connection between occupying federal property and then threatening law enforcement officers with guns, versus the non-crimes of walking down the street or driving away from a party that get Black people killed.
Also, this whole thread section is a bit misleading because nobody has ever said an FBI agent shot Finicum: He was shot by a state trooper when he jumped out of his truck and went for his gun.

SovCits like Swede were hoping for a cover-up so they could point and say: See? The government is bad. ...but it didn't happen that way for them.

Also, this whole thread section is a bit misleading ... I think it is misleading because bigswede had a message to convey but didn't have the huevos to state it loud and clear.
