People don't see stuff they don't want to see. And Republicans sure don't want to see they have been supporting an organized crime Don as their leader.

I don't want the Republicans to see the error of their ways until they are voted out of office in droves and think, "what the heck happened?"

(A close second would be enough jumping ship to remove Trump before 2020 - and then we can vote them out.)

I think what we are all doing is just what we were doing before the Mueller Report, ie. hoping against hope that the goods on Jackass get revealed. So far, as far as I can tell the investigations in the house haven't exactly displayed anything even vaguely damning. Then we have all the investigations being carried out by DOJ investigators. Everybody seems to have high hopes for those to but, given the current AG I would venture that those are not likely to reveal anything much before they get shutdown.

I don't know if anybody watched "The Trump Family Business" but it was the most damning report so far and, pretty much, demonstrated that the Trump empire is a criminal enterprise (its also on youtube right now). So, I still have the question. If CNN can produce a show like this then when is at least one of the dozens of ongoing investigations going to find out anything?

Perhaps we are the ones wrong?

This is interesting:
Federal Prosecutors Ignore Court Order

Quote
Several legal experts also told the Post that the Justice Department’s reaction was highly unusual and that [Judge] Sullivan is unlikely to let the refusal slide.

The government also failed to release material from another one of the judge’s requests: an unredacted version of portions of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report that related to Flynn.

I wonder if some Justice Department lawyers are going to get disbarred over this.

Former President Donald Trump bragged that he effectively obstructed justice during a Fox News interview.

Amid demands for Attorney General Merrick Garland to impanel a grand jury, Trump told Fox News that he simply had to fire former FBI Director James Comey. Otherwise, he could have been held accountable for his relationship with Russia during the 2016 election.

"Don't forget, I fired Comey," Trump bragged. "Had I not fired Comey, you might not be talking to me right now about a beautiful book about four years in the White House, and we'll see about the future. If I didn't fire Comey, they were looking to take down the president of the United States… I don't think could've survived if I didn't fire him."

The report published by former special counsel Robert Mueller said that they didn't even look at whether Trump broke the law during the 2016 election because he followed the Office of Legal Counsel's opinion that the president couldn't be indicted while in office. What Mueller did say was that he uncovered at least 10 examples of obstruction of justice from Trump attempting to stop his investigation.

- Raw Story

For those who claim that Robert Mueller found that Trump committed no crimes, that simply is not true. Mueller felt that a sitting prisident can't be indicted. THAT was the major take-away from his Report.

Now, will YOU folks please stop the dishonesty? Thank you. smile

List the crimes. And if obstruction of justice is still all you got then I still say it won't fly.

Remember the turkeys in Cincinnati? They couldn't fly either.

For those who pooh pooh the Mueller Rpt, I suspect they have conflated a mostly uncorroborated Steele Dossier, no criminal charges having been filed with exoneration, and the proof is Steele .... no charges.

Collusion is not a legal construct, however when one sees the definition, we have

secret or illegal cooperation or conspiracy, especially in order to cheat or deceive others
Is this not what the Trump campaign was doing? Was it well documented by the Mueller Rpt? Then one should be able to reasonably conclude the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians. Was it an indictable legal offense? Nope, but it categorically characterizes the campaign as ... to use the legal term ... scumbags.

Had Trump not been the current occupant of the WH, he most likely would have been indicted for obstruction. I believe based on the Mueller Rpt, those indictments were sustainable.

edit: That is not to say Trump would have been convicted. I reasonably suspect any legal proceedings against The Don will result in acquittal by means of jury nullification. He has poisoned the very fabric of our country and Democracy.

We will be frakked for many years to come.

Obstruction is all you've got now, it's all you had then. It wouldn't fly then, it won't fly now...

You can scream obstruction from the rooftops and it still won't fly.

I think that's pretty much a given at this point, don't you? You think somehow prosecuting more political enemies will nip it in the bud?
