Woke up this AM and in my inbox was a copy of Larry Sabato's Crystal Ball Report. the Subject: "2020 Primary and Caucus Cancellations Through the Lens of Recent History."

Two things he pointed out concerning cancellations of primaries.
1. Some states have laws on their books that when there is only one candidate on the ballot, the primary is automatically cancelled.

2. The recent history of primary cancellations. You can see the list scrolling down to it.

2004 - G.W. Bush - Republicans cancelled 19 GOP presidential primaries for the reasons given.

2012 - Obama - Democrats cancelled 13 Democratic presidential primaries for the reasons given.

2020 - Trump - Republicans so far have cancelled 6 GOP presidential primaries for reason given.

My state of Georgia is one of those states who have a law that if only one candidate is on the ballot, the presidential primary is cancelled. Georgia, one of the states that participate in the Super Tuesday primaries so far will hold only the Democratic Presidential Primary on that day. The Republican presidential primary will be held only if another GOP presidential candidate gets on the ballot to oppose Trump.

It's high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first instead of their political party. For way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.
