I was wondering... what happened, my friend?

Diverticulitus, gall bladder attack, and unidentified stomach issues.

A trifecta of pain and humiliation. I think I puked up my [censored] at some point. Imagine somebody shoving a hot poker up your ass and down your throat at the same time and you'd you'd be close.
Imagine when they meet and pass each other I think that's it. That's what it felt like

Name rank and serial number.

After five days unable to tolerate food at all I was getting down some broth and asked if I could try some solid food. I was thinking crackers or oatmeal or tapioca. They brought me a plate of mother F**ing spaghetti with red sauce. I took a couple bites but that s*it was not going into my tender tummy. Dinnertime comes and I'm [censored]*ng starving! They bring me a cheeseburger. The saddest driest patheticist looking little excuse for food I've ever seen in my life. And it looked delicious! I ate that goddamn burger. Eighteen hours of intense and unending nausea ensued. But at least I sent something through the tubes. I lost 20 pounds and the ability to walk. Both will soon be back. Getting a sponge bath from a nurse is knocked off the bucket list too.
I'm so so hungry now, my body is screaming for food to heal it but it's getting a cup of chamomile tea and a couple of soda crackers.

Gall bladder attack sucks. You are going to watch your diet very carefully, like a lot less meat and fat. Kind of surprising they gave you a cheeseburger. Some vegetable soup would have been more appropriate.
