So the question goes unanswered.
If Trump is the most existential threat to democracy this country has ever seen, why did centrists give him expanded military and surveillance capabilities.
It’s been fascinating watching the centrists cheer on the security apparatus of the state, challenge Trump from the right on the issues of diplomacy with our perceived foreign adversaries and picking a losing argument for impeachment.
Whatever you do, don’t challenge him from the left liberals.

Whatever you do, don’t challenge him from the left liberals. I thought it was a rhetorical question... No matter what else happens Democrats are always blamed for being against the military. It costs them votes among moderates who want a strong military and strong national security. So they throw a few bones to them. The "left" is simply not strong enough to win elections without the moderates. Several candidates are challenging from the left...none of them is in the lead. The most ridiculously moderate candidate is. Therein lies the problem.

The ‘weak military’ argument has long been debunked. The populist election of Obama in 2008 proved that. By ‘moderates’ you mean republicans. Trying to win elections by appealing to Republican has been a loser. Punching left has been a loser. Challenging an elected president from the right remains to be seen.
It’s wild watching liberals throw in with the fascists.

So what if you give lying right winger more war money than he’s asked for, extended the surveillance state for him?
What does that make it?
Better? Hardly
Hypocritical and phony ? Absolutely Donald Trump is still President. He's Commander-in-Chief. He still is responsible for doing his job while hie's being investigated.

he most ridiculously moderate candidate is. You're talking about Joe Biden. Americans want a return to normalcy. Americans know Joe Biden and have for 30 years. He's worked with both sides of the aisle. World Leaders know him and know what to expect from him. Joe will put Putin and Kim back in their place. This is what decent Americans want. This is not to say the other candidates won't do the same thing; but most Americans want a sure, safe, thing to get rid of Donald Trump and feel the other candidates would be a risk that Trump might be re-elected. Joe would be wise to get a far-left progressive on his ticket as VP.

Joe would be wise to get a far-left progressive on his ticket as VP. Might be a wise move as far as optics but I seriously doubt Biden would even so much as sit down for a chat with the guy after the election. So we'd have Mister Joe "Three Strikes/Drug Czar/irredeemable bankruptcy" Biden and a totally useless and largely invisible Veep who can't even get the ear of the POTUS. I really am sort of enjoying the fact that Joe is being slow roasted over the coals because I hope it makes his star sink while making the stars of the other candidates rise. Bernie and Liz are probably not fretting very much about the heat Joe is taking. We have a year to go, we need to get our sh!t together and the rest of the Dem field needs to refine their message and start looking for competent staffers.

Joe Biden recently tried to mention four women he would consider as running mates. Unfortunately he couldn't remember any of their names...
Will Democrats be quick to jump on that 25th amendment thing when Joe starts wetting himself or wanders off down Pennsylvania Avenue in his boxers?
Should he get the nomination he will choose someone as boring and useless as himself, possibly a woman and possibly a person of color, because that's as far out as Biden is able to think.

The only people that can 25A the president is his cabinet, or the VP with either the cabinet or some other group ginned up by congress that still has to pass as a bill.
But who benefits from having a loopy president? The same people that are the only people that can dump him.
What can we do to help you stop screaming?
