This is the time of year when we gather together and laugh hysterically about how incompetent @IvankaTrump is at everything she tries, even Thanksgiving.

Speaking of which, I think we can be thankful for another new member!
Scara Banderis, who is a friend of Hamish Howl, may be coming in any minute so get ready to welcome him or her...sorry I wasn't sure.

Anyway, Happy Turkey Day!

And Scara Banderis, welcome to the madness.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too, Rick, and all the rest who gather here.
I'm quite thankful for all of you who are willing to hang around and talk about politics. A subject I'm fascinated with.

We used to have a core group that made it worth cooking for...but everyone has died of moved away.

But everyone has died or moved away. So me and the ex are having a quiet dinner together. A turkey breast, stove top stuffing, a can of cranberry sauce, a can of green beans. I'll embellish it as little :0

I have to imagine that the two of you have a pretty special relationship because you claim you two are exes but apparently you still enjoy each other's company.

I can honestly say that pretty much all my exes continued to have at least a moderately fair opinion of me in general, but I doubt any of them would elect to spend the holiday with me if I were single no matter what.

I hope you guys have a wonderful day and I hope everyone at the Rant does, too!

My ex and I got along quite well, once we no longer lived together. We had a very amiable divorce. Once the judge believed I wasn't trying to pull a scam he was delighted. She would even come over for a quickie when things were scarce in the romance department, and dropped by to show me her new boobs. I honestly don't think that was a ploy: I always liked her before picture. I just stopped seeing her as per the wishes of my girlfriend/wife.

After 37 years, Comcast parent company of Universal Pictures, with Steven Speilberg's blessing, makes a just over 4 minute sequel to E.T. The Extraterrestrial.

Titled A Holiday Reunion, the film shows E.T. returning to Earth and reconnecting with Elliott, who now has a wife and two children who bear a striking resemblance to a young Thomas and Drew Barrymore, who played Elliott’s sister, Gertie.

Oh hahahaha I actually did have an ex-girlfriend who did that a few times.
(1984-85)
Apart for oh I guess about a year and a half, suddenly she shows up and blammo we're in the sack.

"I forgot how good you were"

(Oh thanks...yeah ditto.) ROTFMOL

But I guess we left it up in the air because I didn't start thinking more was forthcoming or that we'd patch it all back together.
She did that a couple-three more times over the course of the next year and then suddenly she had a new boyfriend and this one, she married.

But I had also just met Karen, her older sister married my older brother. In between these sneaky trysts, Karen and I dated for a brief period, but alas she had already joined the Navy and off she went, boo-hoo poor Jeffy. tonbricks

And then came Linda, my first wife, the one who got me the Leon Russell editing job, which ultimately became the glue of my life in many ways.

Sadly she pulled up a lot of baggage right after we married, my first but her second. Her ex did a number on her bad and I guess when we made our vows, in her head I must have turned into Barry.
It went downhill fast after that.

No contest divorce but it took almost eleven years to track her down.
She just passed away about three years ago, horrible circumstances.
She never outran her drug demons like I did, sad to say.

Oh by the way, our newest member is NOT "Scara Banderas".
The correct handle is "Ashevejak" and yes, this is a real person.
